Completing a degree in chemical engineering with a focus on product development & project management from the American University of Beirut, Aya currently applies her collected knowledge, learns avidly, and engages with multiple ecosystem pillars in the private and public sector within her capacity as a senior consultant at Beyond Group. To-date, she has been active in the local and regional development & innovation ecosystem since 2012. As an UNLEASH Innovation Lab collaborator, Swedish Institute Fellow, and MIT Media Lab collaborator, she has been venturing into sustainability and circular design since 2015. After building the first fully sustainable fashion brand in Lebanon in 2016 and establishing a zero-waste ethical production hub in 2022 (Atelier Miqias), Aya served as a mentor and a panelist in multiple spaces and events such as MedaWeek Barcelona 2019 and Green Innovation Days 2022.
