Nadine is a French-Egyptian curator, cultural consultant, and cultural ambassador leading a cultural renaissance, connecting country’s rich heritage with the contemporary art world on a global stage. Her work has redefined how contemporary art, fashion, and heritage intersect on the global stage. Asthe founder of Culturvator and Art D'Égypte, she create immersive art experiences at iconic heritage sites, fostering cultural exchange and community engagement. Recognized by UNESCO and awarded the Chevalier de l’ordre des arts des lettres, she is passionate about empowering women in the arts and driving innovation in the cultural sector.
In 2016, Abdel Ghaffar established Art D’Égypte with a bold mission: to elevate the visibility of modern and contemporary art while actively preserving and promoting Egypt’s cultural heritage. Her breakthrough came in 2017 with Eternal Light at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the first exhibition to transform the museum into a nocturnal contemporary art experience. By placing contemporary works in dialogue with ancient artifacts, she invited audiences to experience Egypt’s past through a radically contemporary lens and drew extensive international media attention.
Under Abdel Ghaffar’s leadership, Art D’Égypte and Culturvator have curated seven major exhibitions and presented more than 200 Egyptian, regional, and international artists across iconic heritage sites. These include Nothing Vanishes, Everything Transforms at Manial Palace (2018); Reimagined Narratives on Al-Mu‘izz Street in Historic Cairo (2019), held under UNESCO patronage at a World Heritage Site; and five editions of Forever Is Now at the Pyramids of Giza (2021–2025), which transformed one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks into an open-air contemporary art exhibition of global resonance.
Her cross-cultural vision extends to A Tale of Two Cities, a Mediterranean exhibition series linking Alexandria with major European cities. The inaugural 2024 edition between Alexandria and Athens marked the first contemporary art exhibition at the Acropolis Museum, while the 2025 edition between Alexandria and Milan deepens this model of cultural diplomacy under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs.
Art D’Égypte received UNESCO patronage in 2019 in recognition of its alignment with the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Abdel Ghaffar has since taken part in leading international art fairs and global forums and was invited by UN Women to speak at the Palais des Nations in Geneva about the role of Egyptian women in art and society. Her contributions have been acknowledged through multiple honors, including the title Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the French government, recognition among Egypt’s Top 50 Women, and the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Through Culturvator, launched in Dubai in 2020, Abdel Ghaffar advises governments, institutions, and brands across visual arts, film, heritage, design, fashion, and music. She has served as cultural consultant for major international initiatives, including DIOR’s Men’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway show at the Pyramids of Giza, Ulter (2024) in partnership with valU, Noor Riyadh (2023)—the world’s largest light art festival—and the 14th CAF General Assembly (2025), shaping cultural strategy and high-level engagement.
