Ermen Llobet Martí, engineer, started its professional journey in 1981 with the foundation of Ecotècnia, an industrial cooperative devoted to the design, construction and operation of wind turbines and wind & solar farms, that was transferred to Alstom Power in 2007. Since then, he combined investment and entrepreneurship in startups in the fields of energy services and smart cities and founded his own venture building entity. In 2019 he became town councillor in Sant Pere de Torelló (Osona, Catalonia) to manage a district heating municipal service and set up a local living lab on citizen-led energy transition. In 2021 he took an active part in founding the first local energy community in its town. He is the president of OECOOP (Osona Energia SCCL), the second level cooperative set up in 2022.
