Professor Stephanedes is a specialist in Intelligent Sustainable Development Systems from design to implementation, and in Smart Cities and Communities with specialization in Information, Management, Control and Safety Systems. He has a diverse educational background in engineering and management, and he systematically works for the strengthening of individual and collective intelligence. He has been Full Professor at the University of Minnesota (1977-1997), the University of Cyprus (2011-2012) and the University of Patras (2008-2020). He has been one of the founders of IVHS/ITS America, Project Director in transport telematics, ITS and construction, mobility and development for domestic and international market players.
