Associate Professor University of Piraeus, Director of the MSc & Laboratory of Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development

Constantina Kottaridi is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Piraeus, Department of Economics. She owns a BSc in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business, MSc in Economics from Iowa State University (ISU), USA, with “Minor” in Statistics and a PhD title from Athens University of Economics and Business. She has had a full scholarship and assistantship for the graduate studies from ISU while she has been a scholar of the Foundation PROPONTIS for her PhD dissertation.

She has served as a faculty member at the University of Peloponnese, while she has also taught at Iowa State University (USA), London School of Economics (GB), Athens University of Economics and Business and the University of Ioannina.

Currently, Constantina Kottaridi is the Director of the MSc in Bioeconomics, MSc in Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development, Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Laboratory, Executive Director at the scientific organization Athenian Policy Forum, Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Asymmetries Journal, Special Adviser of Observatory Plus, Crisis Observatory, ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy). and a Board Member of the Centre of the Hellenic Language. She has served in the past as a member of the Steering Committee of the Hellenic Open University, a Board Member of the Centre of the Hellenic Language and as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs. In December 2015 she was appointed unanimously as Greece’s Representative at the Board of European International Business Academy (EIBA).

She has run several research projects and she has presented her work in a large number of international conferences, while she has organized conferences and international workshops and events.

Her research interests revolve around Economic Development and Growth, Sustainability and Circular Economy, Foreign Direct Investment and Multinational Corporations, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and their Internationalization. He research has received numerous in international journals and is published in journals such as the Review of International Economics, Circular Economy and Sustainability, Journal of Macroeconomics, Empirical Economics, etc. She also has edited a number of books among which there is the “A Festschrift in honor of John Nash: Game Theory” which is a compilation of original papers form game theorists worldwide as well as an original interview of John Nash.

She is a reviewer for numerous well-known international journals.
