Antonis Mavropoulos is a chemical engineer and works as a consultant on circular economy and waste management. He is a member of the NTUA Board of Directors and participates in UNEP’s International Environmental Technologies Advisory Committee (UNEP IETC). He has served as president of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). He has written the books “Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy: Towards a Wasteless Future or a Wasteful Planet?” (co-authored with Anders Waage Nilsen, Wiley, 2020, ISBN-13: 978-1119699279) and “Artificial Intelligence, Man, Nature, Machines” (in Greek language, Topos 2024, ISBN- 13: 9789604994861) and has also contributed to several scientific publications.
