Arthur Lorkowski is the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, an international organization responsible for implementing the Energy Community acquis. These EU-aligned regulations are designed to integrate the energy markets of countries neighbouring the European Union (EU) with the EU's internal market. A native of Poland. Mr. Lorkowski has a distinguished background in diplomacy and policy, having served as Poland's ambassador to Austria. He also worked as the Special Envoy for Climate at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was the Deputy Director for Energy and Climate Policy and previously EU Sectoral Policies, where he played a key role in Poland's accession to the European Union in 2004.
