Deputy Governor of Achaia of the Region of Western Greece,President of the CPMR Balkan and Black Sea Commission and Vice-President of the CPMR Intermediterranean Commission

Fokion A. Zaimis oversees key areas including Civil Protection, Development, Commerce, Education, Transport, and Licensing. He is actively involved in strategic infrastructure projects such as the Tripoli-Patras gas pipeline and represents the Region in initiatives like the Kalavryta Ski Company, Achaiki Leader, and VIOPA Industrial Park.

He holds an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Patras and attended the MBA program at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Mr. Zaimis is a founding partner and former President of iForce Communications S.A., and General Secretary of the Institute of Development of Western Greece. He founded Kerpini Publications and was the first CEO of the Acropolis Information Technology Park (“Greek Silicon Valley”). As General Manager of SEPE, he played a key role in bringing WCIT 2004 to Athens.

His experience includes work with the European Commission (DG XVII), Talos Engineering, and service as a Finance Officer in the Hellenic Air Force. He has also advised the Mayor of Athens on IT and held board positions in several public and professional organizations.

Fluent in Greek, English, and French, Mr. Zaimis is a published writer and has organized over 150 events on economic, environmental, and cultural issues.
