George Sarelakos is the founder and president of the environmental organization Aegean Rebreath. He holds a degree in Economics and a postgraduate diploma in Health Management  from the University of Piraeus. For several years, he has worked in the field of development and analysis of national and
European legislation and policies. During this time, he collaborated with institutional bodies, international and European organizations, the private sector and was also active in matters of advocacy and governance. He has served as a member of numerous working groups and think tanks and has published a
large number of articles and interviews in national and international media. Currently, through Aegean Rebreath, he focuses on developing a national model for the protection of our seas based on fostering partnerships between central and regional administration, the private sector, and civil society.
