Patricia Charlebois is a seasoned maritime leader and environmental protection expert with over two decades of experience at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and 26 years of service within the United Nations system. As Deputy Director of the IMO's Marine Environment Division. she provides strategic leadership on critical ocean policy initiatives and pollution preparedness and response to marine pollution incidents involving both oil and chemicals addressing complex ocean policy matters including ocean dumbing and borders beyond national jurisdiction. In addition, Patricia has management oversight of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) in Malta.
