Ranko Blažević, Mayor of Sutivan on the island of Brač.

In his work as mayor, the activities he implements and supports are aimed at sustainability, reducing the impact of tourism on the local population, he actively participated from the very beginning in the formation of the Brač local action group, he joins the cooperation on energy transition and transport decarbonization projects in the municipality. He participates as an associated partner in a number of projects financed from several Interreg programs such as PRISMI, Joint_Secap, Create and Mission CE climate and CO2PACMAC and actively participated in a number of conferences as a panelist promoting measures from the Green Agenda, climate adaptation and climate change and someone who advocates for clean energy in European islands. He is a beneficiary of a whole range of grants to improve the quality of life in his community from schools to kindergartens, to the implementation of a pilot project for the development of green infrastructure and/or circular management of space and buildings.
