Prof El-Sammak is Professor of Marine Environment, Oceanography Department, Faculty of Science at Alexandria University, Egypt. He was the Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University. Formally, he worked as the Executive Manager for the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency. He also worked as the Head of Oceanography Department, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University and the Director of Environmental Management Program, College of Graduate Studies, Arabian Gulf University, Kingdom of Bahrain. He has several years of teaching experience.
