Andrea Alvito is a marine biologist and holds a PhD in “Biology and Biochemistry of the Human and Environment” from the University of Cagliari.
He works as professional and consultant in the fields of environmental assessment and ecological monitoring. He is also research fellow at the IMC - International Marine Centre. During the years he worked es expert on descriptor n. 10 of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive, working on various projects on marine litter and on priority species monitoring and management in Mediterranean basin. He is been involved in different national projects for the management of priority marine habitats and for stock assessments for both public and private sectors.
He is author and co-author of various peer-reviewed publications and reports.
