Alessandro Carollo get Master’s Degree in Architecture with honor (Palermo University), after awarding a fellowship at Escola Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (Catalonia Polytechnic University). He is Chief Executive Officer at IDEA URBANA Engineering S.r.l., an Architecture and Engineering company working for enterprises and public administrations in the fields of transport and regional planning.

With a Post-graduate Diploma on Civil Engineering (Padua University) and a Ph.D. on Urban Planning (Catania University, 2011), since 2005 he operates mainly in the fields of urban and transport planning, gaining also several experiences in the funding and management of projects within the European Structural and Investment Funds.

He has carried out professional services and assignments for Ministries, Port System Authorities, Regions, Universities, Local Bodies, and Subsidiaries regarding the regional and transport planning as well as the implementation of cohesion policies within the European Regional Development Fund.

He managed and implemented several territorial cooperation projects relating to transport and integrated local development within transnational partnerships between institutions from different European countries.

Within EnerNETmob project IDEA URBANA supports RAM S.p.A. (in house company of Italian Ministry for Transport) and the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa for the implementation of electromobility policies and the planning of related infrastructure networks
