Karina von Schuckmann (Dr., HDR) is a physical oceanographer at Mercator Ocean, France, with particular focus on the role of the ocean in the Earth’s climate system. She is Lead of the Copernicus Marine ocean reporting framework, lead author of IPCC SROCC, AR6, the 2 nd IOC Global Ocean Science Report, contributes to the WMO State of the Climate, member of the European Academy of Science and various international science panels.
