Since 2010, José Manuel Durán Cuevas is working in the innovation sector from different approaches: technological evaluator, project officer, advisor in international projects, programmes and twinning and representative at international framework of the Spanish Agency of Innovation. He fosters the applied research and innovative initiatives that can achieve a real impact in the society. He has worked with all kind of public and private stakeholders (Governments, Funding Agencies, start ups, SMEs, Universities, Research Centers, etc.) at national and international framework (Europe, Africa and Middle East). His roles cover international management, business developer, capacity building and consultant. Formerly, thanks to his educational background (Civil Engineer with three Master Degrees (Environmental Engineering, Waste Treatment and Renewable Energies)) he worked in the private sector as Project Manager in fields such as Construction , Waste Treatment, Water Management and Renewable Energies. Since 2017 José Manuel Durán Cuevas has the position of the Chief Representative of the Spanish Agency of Innovation for the Middle East and North African countries.
