//   CAPITALIZATION EVENT BLUE-GREENWAY: Innovative solutions for improving the environmental status of eutrophic and anoxic coastal ecosystems

Angelos Kokkinis is an MEng Chemical Engineering student and Former President of the Board of European Students of Technology AISBL, a European-wide STEM student organisation that has a presence in more than 30 countries. While being the organisation's President, Angelos oversaw the strategic development of BEST, the overall activities of the organisation and represented the association during educational conferences and meetings with HEI and relevant stakeholders. An example is the Ninth Environment for Europe (EfE) Ministerial Conference, where Angelos participated as a speaker in the following side events: (a) Launch of Publication: Engaging young people to implement ESD in the UNECE Region, Good practices on the engagement of youth in education for sustainable development and (b) Higher Education towards Sustainable Development: Making Universities Lighthouses of Sustainability.

Angelos joined BEST in 2019, and since then he has developed a passion for volunteerism and empowering every person and organisation to achieve more. Firmly believing in education and the youth, Angelos is actively participating in educational conferences to provide the students' perspective and encourage not only youth representation but also youth participation, since the youth will have an active role in the future society and education will shape the path of it.
