Dr. Ioannis Sitaras holds a degree in Chemistry, a Master's Degree in Chemistry and Environmental Technology and a PhD in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His work experience includes the field of environment, research projects, laboratory testing in the field of Food, Environment, Medical Examinations, quality control, evaluation and accreditation of laboratories, quality management systems, management of international projects and expertise in international programs. He is Director of Laboratory Accreditation in the National Accreditation System, a supervised body of the Ministry of Development where he has been working since 2005 and Academic Head of the BSc(Hons)) Chemistry Program of Aegean College since 2022. He is a member of the management team of the Laboratory Committee of the European Cooperation for Accreditation since 2008, and also peer evaluator.
