Professor Stephanedes is a specialist in Intelligent Transportation Systems and Smart Cities and Communities with specialization in Information, Management, Control and Safety Systems, especially in infrastructure-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-vehicle communications, as well as in the strengthening of individual and collective intelligence. Previously he was for 20 years at the University of Minnesota USA, a founder of IVHS/ITS America. He directs the Connected Intelligent Transport Systems research group at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Patras, Greece.
