Anastasios Filippides is the co-founder and executive director of OZON NGO, an environmental organization active in the fields of marine and coastal protection. He holds a BEng and an MSc in Manufacturing Engineering and Management.
For over 25 years worked as a management consultant specializing in corporate restructuring, productivity and re-engineering of business processes. As a consultant
and project manager he worked and lived in the UK, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Romania and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Since 2010 he is leading OZON as a director and environmental activist. He has designed and executed successful research projects on marine and coastal pollution,
implemented conservation, beach clean-up and monitoring projects, run public awareness campaigns. Over the past 2 years he is leading the transition of OZON from a data gathering and research organisation to an institution that design and implement pioneering initiatives and solutions for the mitigation of marine litter in the Mediterranean basin.
