Haris Doukas is the Mayor of Athens and a Professor NTUA. He is also member of the European Committee of the Regions and serves as Vice-President and Executive Committee member of the PES Group in the European Committee of the Regions. His scientific and research expertise includes the development of decision support systems for energy and climate policy, with a strong emphasis on placing the human factor at the core of the modeling processes. As Mayor, he is committed to leading Athens toward a net zero target by 2030, implementing science-based policies, advancing infrastructure, and fostering community involvement
