Spilios Libanos was born in Athens on September 20, 1967.

He is the son of Dionysis Libanos and Aliki Kyriakidou and the nephew of Panagiotis Kanellopoulos.

He studied Economics and Political Science (University Amherst) in Massachusetts, USA and continued his postgraduate studies in International Relations and Comparative Political Analysis (University of Reading) in England.

He worked in the European Commission and in Greece as an executive of Corporate Development of private companies. Subsequently, he founded a company for the development of private construction projects and real estate management with activities in Greece and abroad.

In 2007 he was elected MP for the first time in the prefecture of Etoloakarnania.

In 2009 he took over the position of Deputy Secretary of Political Planning of ND and in 2013 the position of Secretary of Political Planning of ND.

Immediately after the election of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the presidency of ND, he was appointed Entrepreneurship Advisor to the President.

In the national elections of July 7, 2019, he was re-elected Member of Parliament for Etoloakarnania and then the Prime Minister assigned him the duties of the Parliamentary Representative of ND.

He is a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and the Special Standing Committee on General Balance Sheet and Audit of the State Account and Budget.

He was the Chairman of the Board of the Cultural Center Panagiotis Kanellopoulos.

He speaks English and French.

He is married to Domna Kyrzopoulou, a lawyer, with whom he has three children: Dionysis, Danae and Aliki.
