Georgeta Auktor (formerly Vidican) is an international development policy researcher, consultant and educator.

Her research and teaching focuses on issues of inclusive green growth, industrial policy and private sector development, innovation systems and policy, technology and science policy, and sustainability transition in developing and emerging countries.

Since 2011 she has been affiliated with the German Development Institute, a development policy think-tank based in Bonn. She holds a doctoral degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in international economic development and regional planning. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and taught at various universities in Europe and abroad.

Currently, she is advising development cooperation and policy stakeholders in Europe and the Middle East and North Africa on green and inclusive growth strategies also in light of the fourth industrial revolution.
