Javier Abanades holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and Marine Renewable Energy from the University of Plymouth (UK). He has more than 10 years of experience in the development and design of different patents for the enhancement of renewable resources such as wave or wind energy. Javier has more than 25 scientific articles on different Blue Energy technologies. Currently, he is responsible for R&D projects and numerical modeling in the wind energy division at TYPSA, where he has led the design of offshore platforms for the installation of offshore wind turbines and has participated as technical expert in the definition of the most suitable technologies for the Mediterranean Sea.
