Joseph Stefanou of Nikolaos and of Basel, is an architect and urban planner, professor at the National Technical University of Athens and director of the Urban Planning Laboratory of the Department of Architects. He studied Architecture at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux, Urban Planning at the Institut D'Urbanisme de l'Universite de Paris and the Universite des Vincennes (DEA and doctorat 3rd cycle). Social Psychology at the Universite Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg (DEA and 3rd cycle doctorate). Psychology of space at the Universite Strasbourg 1 (doctorat d'etat). He is Vice-President of the Committee "Comite d'experts sur les aspects sociaux du logement eu egard au vieillissement de la population" of the Council of Europe. More than 100 of his scientific works have been published or published in Greek and foreign journals.
